Based on 43 lessons a year

  • £13 per group lesson (1 hour)  = 12 payments of £46.50 by Direct Debit
  • £15.00 per individual (1/2 hour) =   12 payments of £53.75 by Direct Debit

Terms and Conditions


  • We guarantee to offer at least 43 weeks tuition per annum.  Holidays will be published a term in advance.
  • Fees are calculated on 43 weeks tuition per annum and divided into 12 monthly payments, payable in advance by direct debit.  We reserve the right refuse admission to lessons not paid in advance
  • We will require you to complete a registration form and direct debit mandate prior to lessons commencing
  • The maximum class size will be of 8 students.  Should a class size fall below that level and is no longer educationally or economically viable we reserve the right to close that class and will endeavour to offer an alternative where possible.
  • Course books must be paid for upfront
  • Any wilful evasion of payment will be subject to legal proceedings and may incur legal fees


  • Should you wish to terminate your tuition at any time four weeks written notice must be given in advance.  Verbal notification cannot be accepted.


  • The school cannot credit lessons cancelled by pupils.  This is the policy of Yamaha Music School and applies to group and individual lessons (our teachers are still fully paid for lesson time)
  • Under normal circumstances no refund or credits will be given for students missing lessons for any reason as the class will still run.  However we will make every effort to make sure students catch up on any work missed.  Credits are only given if a teacher is absent and no alternative available.
  • Occasionally lessons may be covered by another Yamaha Music School qualified teacher.  This does not affect the quality or direction of lessons.


  • Our teachers are qualified Yamaha Music School teachers, who receive regular training & monitoring in order to ensure that students receive the very best quality
  • Prior to joining our music school, our teachers have agreed to and been cleared by a CRB police check, as is the current practice of adults working with children
  • Yamaha Music Point Edinburgh acknowledges it's responsibility for the supervision of pupils during lessons and that the parent is responsible at all other times


  • Unacceptable and disruptive behaviour will be subjected to a referral process and if problems persist, the student may be asked to leave
  • We do not permit food or drink in the classroom at any time
